Located in the historic center of Brussels, directly facing the Palace of Justice, Tweed Building represents a refined integration of contemporary architecture into a prestigious heritage setting. Metal Yapı delivered the project’s high-performance façade systems, contributing to both its architectural identity and technical performance.
Designed to meet BREEAM Excellent and Brussels Passive 2015 standards, the façade plays a key role in the building’s energy efficiency and environmental performance. A compositional grid system defines the architectural rhythm, while light-colored natural stone respects the historic surroundings. Bronze-toned aluminum elements introduce a contemporary expression.
Large glazed panels maximize daylight penetration and visual comfort, balancing transparency with solid stone surfaces to create a cohesive and dynamic façade language. Roof-level setbacks reduce the building’s visual impact and accommodate green roofs and photovoltaic panels.
Beyond aesthetics, the Tweed façade delivers high thermal insulation, airtightness, and optimized daylight control. Through advanced façade engineering and precise execution, Metal Yapı successfully translated architectural intent into a durable, efficient, and sustainable building envelope.
