Located in Paris–La Défense, Origine is a next-generation mixed-use development recognized by the G20 as one of the world’s 100 Iconic Sustainable Buildings. The project stands out with its hybrid timber concrete structure, bioclimatic design strategy, and high-performance façade systems. The building integrates 36% timber structure, photovoltaic panels, geothermal energy, a smart grid, 6,500 m² of landscaped areas, and more than 1,800 operable windows, creating a holistic and resilient sustainability model. Inspired by the organic rock formations of Ha Long Bay, the architectural composition is defined by vertical metal and timber fins that bring rhythm, transparency, and lightness to the façade. This dynamic language continues into the interior through a sculptural circular atrium. From a façade engineering perspective, Origine represents a major technical achievement:
  • Over 27,000 m² of façade surface
  • Integrated timber, aluminium and glass systems
  • High thermal and daylight performance
  • Prefabricated vertical elements for optimized installation
  • Full BIM-based engineering coordination
As the Paris headquarters of Technip Energies, Origine offers 51,000 m² of office space supported by terraces, loggias, social areas, and biophilic design principles that prioritize user well-being. Origine exemplifies the convergence of sustainable architecture, advanced façade engineering, and human-centered design, setting a new reference for environmentally responsible office developments.
