The ICÔNE office complex in Belval reinterprets the area’s industrial heritage through advanced façade engineering developed in collaboration with Foster + Partners and BFF Architectes. Metal Yapı delivered a high-performance structural façade that functions as both architectural expression and load-bearing system.
The façade’s orthogonal grid references the region’s steelmaking legacy while acting as an integrated brise-soleil, optimizing daylight and reducing solar heat gain. Designed as an active structural element, the façade enables column-free interior spaces, offering flexible and adaptable office layouts.
Engineered to support BREEAM Excellent and WELL Building Standard targets, the envelope combines environmental performance with user comfort. Green loggias and a light-filled central atrium enhance well-being and visual connectivity throughout the building.
With 18,800 m² of office space, ICÔNE stands as a contemporary benchmark for resilient, sustainable, and human-centered workplace design bearing the signature of Metal Yapı.
