Metal Yapı Group played a key role in delivering this iconic structure through the integration of structural steel systems and façade engineering under a single organizational framework. From erection strategy to final assembly, the project was driven by advanced on-site engineering and precise execution. Within the scope of the project, Metal Yapı Eng&Const. was responsible for the complete structural steel system as well as the planning and execution of all hydraulic lifting and erection operations, while Metal Yapı undertook the engineering, design, fabrication, and installation of the tower’s entire façade system. This fully integrated approach ensured exact coordination between structure, envelope, and installation sequencing, preserving the architectural intent throughout construction. Due to the tower’s complex twisting geometry, conventional erection methods were not feasible. An innovative incremental heavy lifting system using synchronized hydraulic jacks was developed, enabling a 729-ton steel structure to be lifted with millimetric accuracy. Real-time load monitoring and coordinated movement control ensured safety and precision during this high-risk operation, highlighting Metal Yapı Group’s expertise in complex installation engineering. The façade engineering balances performance and symbolism. The tower’s three-leaf form references Antalya’s historic Hadrian’s Gate (Üç Kapılar), while perforated aluminum cladding provides effective solar control and natural ventilation suited to the local climate. The integrated steel and aluminum systems deliver structural efficiency, durability, and visual lightness. Expo Antalya Tower stands as a testament to Metal Yapı Group’s expertise in installation engineering, advanced lifting technologies, and high-performance façade solutions reshaping Antalya’s skyline and reflecting Turkish engineering excellence on the global stage.
