1983 : Mr. Abdurrahman ÖZGÜL, Mr. Hamdi AKSOY, Mr. Levent ÖZGÜL, and Mr. Bülent ÖZGÜL came together abroad, in Saudi Arabia, in order to cooperate with regards to aluminium doors and windows and structural façades; and they have built the framework of Metal Yapı.

1987 : The new company is given the name Metal ve Yapı Sistemleri Ticaret A.Ş. and begins operations in Bayrampaşa, İstanbul with the additional participation of Mr. Alpar ÖZGÜL.
 
1988 : By realizing the design, manufacture and assembly of the YAPI KREDİ PLAZA project, the largest curtain wall façade in Turkey is constructed. The first domestic-made curtain wall from Turkey, FASAD 64 CLASSICAL FAÇADE SYSTEM WITH CAPS is designed and implemented for this project.

1991 : Metal Yapı builds a factory and administration building on 12,000 m² in Çatalca, İstanbul with 70 employees.

1992 : The FASAD 50 CLASSICAL FAÇADE SYSTEM WITH CAPS is designed. The TELESCOPIC CONCEALED WING WINDOWS SYSTEM and REVERSE VASISDAS able to be opened outward, is developed simultaneously. (ANADOLU ENDÜSTRİ HOLDING MANAGEMENT BUILDING)

1993 : The very first domestic-made TWO-SIDED STRUCTURAL SILICONE FAÇADE SYSTEM in Turkey is designed. (ETAP PULMAN HOTEL)

1994 : Then the SSC 50, Turkey's first FOUR-SIDED STRUCTURAL SILICONE FAÇADE SYSTEM, is developed by Metal Yapı. The number of employees rises to 125.

1995 : The first contracts abroad are realized in Tashkent, Alma-Ata, Ufa and Tumen.

1996 : The interior of the factory in Çatalca is increased to 3,000 m² from a previous 1,500 m². The functioning outdoor space is also increased to 20,000 m².
The number of employees expands to 200.

1997 : The company establishes a "Software Development Department" of its own. A mechanical workshop is established allowing the company to produce a number of the machines necessary for the production and assembly processes on-site.

1998 : The General Management, Marketing, Conceptual Project Development and Project Coordination Departments of Metal Yapı are moved to the TOYOTA PLAZA BUSINESS CENTER in Kavacık, İstanbul. The design and assembly of the KOMBASSAN HOLDING ADMINISTRATION BUILDING is completed. At a height of 118m, the largest and the tallest structural silicone façade in Turkey is now realized.
Also, the first "SWING WING" window system in Turkey is designed and implemented specifically for the project.
Later in 1998, a "GLASS BONDING CONVEYOR LINE" is constucted to facilitate the bonding of glass to frames.

1999 : The Electronics Department is established. The first CNC COMPOSITE PANEL ROUTING MACHINE (computerized numeric control) is manufactured.
The mechanical, electronic and software designs are all independently developed by Metal Yapı.
In the ORJİN PLAZA, the very first TRANSPARENT FAÇADE SYSTEM in Turkey is implemented.
The number of Metal Yapı's staff is now 350. In the severe earthquake that took place on August 17, not a single glass of 300.000 m² glass façades which Metal Yapı had manufactured so far is damaged.

2000 : A computer controlled TEST LABORATORY is established where the company's newly designed façade systems are tested to assure their full compliance with both regional and global standards. The design of the PCS 60 PANEL FAÇADE SYSTEM is created and is subsequently employed in the construction of the YEŞİL PLAZA in Istanbul. The PCS 84 STRUCTURAL SILICONE PANEL SYSTEM, in which a concealed window opens inward, is developed. The factory has now reached an indoor measurement of 8,500 m², 55,000 m² outdoors and houses a total of 450 employees.

2001 : Metal Yapı is awarded the ISO 9001 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE.
Thanks to the flexible and multiple project management capacities being developed since the company's inception, Metal Yapı is now capable of carrying out design, production and assembly of over 50 unique projects in 11 different countries.
Clients from Albania and Turkmenistan also pursuing contracts at this time.

2002 : METAL YAPI IN the EUROPEAN UNION: Metal Yapi S.A. Europe is established in Bruselles, the capital of the European Union. The first job acquired is the Fonsy Midi Ilot B1 project which is designed by Sefik Birkiye, one of the most eminent architects in of Belgium.
The company receives the OHSAS 18001 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT CERTİFİCATE.
Metal Yapı S.R.L. Romania is established in Bucharest.
Metal Yapı enters markets in Ukraine, Russia and Dubai.
Another first is achieved on the Arkas Administration Building in İzmir with the application of bent and insulated spider glass system.
5000 m2 of façade for the International Music House in Moscow are designed and manufactured in just six months despite severe weather conditions.
Metal Yapı’s mechanics department, electronics department and software department are united. This, in turn, allows the launch of the cumulative production of the CNC Machines inherently required for the simultaneous execution of multiple manufacturing processes.

2003 : The ISO 14001 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATE is received. Awarded for the design and assembly of a new facility by LE MONDE, one of the most popular news publications in France, Metal Yapı enters the French market with a prestigious project. The total physical expanse of Metal Yapı is now 750,000 m². Metal Yapı is also now the second largest producer of silicone façade in Europe with the application of over 300,000 m² of STRUCTURAL SILICONE FAÇADE.

2004 : YEAR OF GROWth AND EXPANSION IN EUROPE; Metal Yapı starts to install the Drosbach Buro Complex in Luxemburg which will later be occupied by the European Council. The staff now stands at more than 700 people in eleven different countries.
Additionally, the number of CNC Machines being produced in-house has risen to eighteen. METAL YAPI IN UKRAINE: Planeta Metal Yapı is founded as a partnership with ‘’Planeta Bud Zao’’ which is one of the biggest construction companies in the Ukraine.

2005 : LABORATORY YEAR; The compulsary technical agreement for structral bonding applications in France is granted by the CSTB (Centre Scientifique Technique Batiment). Laboratories founded in 2000 for water and air leakage tests at the Çatalca location are now certified by CEBTP and officially comply with French regulations. A shock test unit also in accordance with French norms is established in the Metal Yapı factory. METAL YAPI TURKMENISTAN is established in Asghabad in July

2006 : YEAR OF AIRPORT FAÇADES; Esenboğa Airport International Terminal in Ankara, Atatürk Airport Domestic Lines Terminal in İstanbul, Gap International Airport in Urfa and Charleroi Bruxelles - Sud Airport are all realized with Metal Yapı's effective organizational capabilities. And further still, Metal Yapı undertakes the construction of the façades for the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development ) as well as the deputy offices for the Assemblée Nationale in Paris, France.
METAL YAPI LLC RUSSIA is established in Moscow.

2007 : Metal Yapı enters the Azerbaijan Market undertaking ‘Mugam House’ a concert hall building which is covered with a very complex glass shell structurel. The Shakhtar Donetzk Stadium project is undertaken where the whole facade is composed of trapezoidal glass. The biggest project in Brussels (AXA-JECL, Political Center of Europe) in roundpoint Schumann is signed by Metal Yapı.

2008 : Metal Yapı enters the Persian Gulf Region and Libya markets. The very elegant example of contemporary glass architectural facades designed by Arata Izosaki for the National Convention Center Project in Qatar is undertaken.
Atlasi Aram Bussiness Center in Iran, Bulayla Tower and Behar Tower projects in Libya are undertaken. Metal Yapi continues its activities in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
Realizing 95% of its turnover is abroad Metal Yapı focusses only on complex and special projects with complicated details in Turkey.
