The design loads of aluminium and steel facades are divided between continuous and discontinuous loads. Continuous loads are; own weights, snow loads and floor weights. Discontinuous loads are wind loads, dynamic loads, and seismic loads. Sometimes, these design loads differ from each other according to the quality norms of each country. Metal Yapı use the following norms for wind loads : TS 498, DIN 1055, ASCE 7, UBC 97, BS 6399-Part 2, NV 65, NBN B03-002-1, STAS 10101/20, SNIP 2.01-85, etc.

Design modelling, under these loading conditions, can be linear or if necessary, nonlinear. Deflections and stress conditions are analysed using either LRFD (Load Resistance Factor Design) or ASD (Allowable Stress Design) methods.
